The foal maker!
Excalibur exceeded the already high expectations in his first foal crop, as he resoundingly passed on his ultra-modern and correct habitus, his remarkable performance character and his boundless movement standard. His offspring were correspondingly sought-after at the auctions.
Excalibur was the second reserve champion of his licensing in Münster-Handorf in 2022 and completed his stallion test at the same venue as reserve champion, only narrowly beaten. His trot, which was already presented with a lot of natural cadence, his wonderful uphill canter, his excellent rideability and his enormous willingness to perform were all rated 8.5. He received an 8.0 for his absolutely rhythmic, ground covering walk. Excalibur also received high marks again at his 2024 sport test in Verden. He converted his very first competition start in a dressage horse light level class into a second place in 2025.
His sire Escamillo won silver and bronze at the World Championships for six and seven-year-old dressage horses, was in the final of the Burg Cup and made his victorious debut in the Grand Prix class in 2024. Almost 40 of his sons have been licensed.
His dam Despacita is a full sister to the licensed Vice Bundeschampion and Hanoverian Champion as well as Despacito, who won up to medium (M**) level dressage competitions. Her half-brother Besitos (by Benicio) was also licensed in Westphalia. Her full sister Despacita won a series of M** dressage competitions and her half-sister St.Pr.St. Vita Amorosa (by Van Vivaldi I) placed first in tests for young dressage horses.
