At the beginning of 2026, we will realize our shared vision together with Olympic team champion Dorothee Schneider: an exclusive dressage training center at Gestüt Famos under the direction of the riding master.

In future, particularly talented dressage horses will be trained by Dorothee Schneider at our facility in Syke and promoted to the highest international level. “I am very much looking forward to continuing my passion, training horses, at this beautiful facility in Syke,” explains the championship rider. “And I am looking forward to working with Maik Kanitzky, who shares my vision of promoting horses in sport.” To this end, Dorothee Schneider will sell her facility in Framersheim and move to Lower Saxony with her husband, family, and riding horses—including, of course, Olympic retiree Showtime. She will continue to work as an independent trainer.

Maik Kanitzky has been working with Dorothee Schneider for around three years. The first highlights of this collaboration were the victory of our Maxi Kraft's Barcelo OLD in the Nuremberg Burg Cup Final and the two top ten placings of our SEGANTINI FRH at the Dressage Horse World Championships. “I am incredibly proud and excited that Dorothee is taking this step with me,” emphasizes Kanitzky. “There are many good riders and trainers in Germany, but I think Dorothee's riding style is fantastic.”

The horses we breed ourselves or purchase when they are young at our M.K. Ammerland stud farm in Wiefelstede are raised and broken in there. Particularly talented horses are then sent to Syke for further training. In the future, the work there will have three pillars: “The training of exclusive dressage horses by Dorothee Schneider is the first pillar. The stallion station under the management of Detlef Utecht van Dijk is pillar number two, which will operate in close consultation with Dorothee. And pillar number three, which refers to the promotion of one or two young riders, is also under Dorothee's care.”

Starting January 1, 2026, we will be joining forces with Dorothee Schneider at our Famos stud farm.
